Pallas van der Kroft-Sluyter


A native of Los Angeles, Pallas van der Kroft-Sluyter has had an extensive and varied career touring the world as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. She began training in ballet at age four and at age eleven was awarded the prestigious Ford Foundation scholarship from the New York City Ballet. Additionally she trained on scholarships from the American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West and Dupre Dance Academy. Performing credits include Dennis Wayne and Dancers, Israel Ballet, Jerusalem Tamar Modern Dance Company, Los Angeles Chamber Ballet, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, Radio City Music Hall Ballet, Dutch National Opera Ballet, Pandora, , De Dutch Don’t Dance Division & as actress/dancer for The Alchemy Ensemble. She has performed extensively in television shows, movies, MTV videos and musical theatre. Her own choreographic works have been produced for Four Steps Forward , Poetry International Festival , The Los Angeles Dance Kaleidoscope Festival, Jerusalem Dance Theatre, Bethune Theatredans, Par Azart, Solo’s @ the Sea (DDDDD) and MTV, Korea . She has years of experience teaching classical ballet and jazz dance for children through professionals and as a guest teacher for DJazzEX, RAZ, Krisztina de Chatel,Theater Werkplaats Eskalibur, Stanley Holden Dance Center, Edge Performing Arts Center, Studio Piet Rogie/ Peter Bulckaen, Haagsche Dansetage, Amsterdam Dance Centre, Barrie Stevens, and Jerusalem Dance Theater to name a few. She currently teaches ballet, yoga, modern jazz and funky streetdance for children, teenagers and adults at her own school in The Hague “ Pallas Dance”. In 2010 Pallas embarked upon working as a freelance rehearsal director and has been invited to work with diverse dance companies including Massive Movement, OperaDans /Alchemy Ensemble, and as rehearsal director & contributing choreographer & performer as actress/dancer for Flow Performing Arts.

Pallas’s motto is ” Dance . . . if  you Dare!”  As a teacher, it is her joy & passion to share her knowledge of dance & theater to dancers of all levels & ages. As a rehearsal director, Pallas makes use of her sharp perception & critical eye to bring the productions she works on, to their highest potential. As a choreographer , writer & performer, Pallas is on a continual journey of self discovery & wishes to touch & inspire others through her own creative expression.
